Gmail emails must be downloaded & formatted to open in Outlook or back up for later reading or import. Many solutions exist to save Gmail emails nowadays. If you need to export a Gmail mailbox or folder, use the built-in Google Takeout tool. After that, import Google Takeout to Outlook using BLR MBOX File Converter.
- Log in to Google at https://takeout.google.com.
- Click Deselect All and scroll down to check Mail.
- Select “All Mail data included” to download certain Gmail folders without the complete inbox. Disable “Include all messages in Mail” and select export folders in the dialog that appears.
- Scroll to the bottom and click Next Step.
- Select a link or cloud storage option like Google Drive, One Drive, Dropbox, or Box. Once exported, you’ll receive an email with a download link.
- Enable “Export once.”.
- Choose the.zip file format and maximum size for.mbox files.
- Start by clicking Create Export.
When you get the MBOX files, you will need to use BLR MBOX Converter because Outlook doesn’t support MBOX files. Users can convert MBOX to PST, and after that, they can import MBOX files to Outlook in PST format.
