Hi everyone,
I’m setting up a SAN storage solution for our growing company and need some advice. We’re debating whether to go with Fiber Channel or iSCSI for our storage network.
Here’s our situation:
- We’re a mid-sized business with around 150 employees.
- Our primary use case is hosting virtual machines and managing large data sets.
- We have a mix of Windows and Linux servers in our environment.
- Budget is a factor, but so is performance and scalability.
Since this setup will be the backbone of our SAN storage infrastructure, we want to ensure we choose the right protocol that provides the best combination of speed, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
Which option would you recommend, and why? Any guidance or experiences would be much appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
