Hi everyone,
I’m currently looking to buy a new laptop and I’m considering a Core i5 laptop. My main use case would be for casual gaming, like playing Minecraft and Fortnite, as well as general productivity tasks such as writing documents, browsing the web, and working on light photo editing. I don’t need a high-performance machine, but I want something that can handle these tasks smoothly without lag.
I’ve heard mixed opinions about whether a Core i5 laptop is powerful enough for gaming. I know it’s a mid-range processor, but will it be able to handle casual gaming with decent frame rates? I don’t plan to play the latest AAA titles, but I do want a laptop that can run some of the more popular games without too much strain.
For productivity, I need the laptop to perform well under multitasking. A Core i5 laptop seems to be a good fit for most of the things I do, but I’m wondering if I’ll run into issues with performance when handling multiple apps at once. If anyone has used a Core i5 laptop for both gaming and work tasks, I’d love to hear about your experience and any recommendations for specific models!
